We’ve talked about Michael Fulmer in the past and he’s back again as one of the better options at his pricing tier. Fulmer is coming off an impressive seven innings against the Rays in which he racked up 11 strikeouts. The strikeouts aren’t really a surpise for Fulmer who has tallied 11.38 K/9 this season (in a smallish sample), which is second-best on this slate. Now he earns one of the best matchups you can ask for with the Athletics who rank 28th in wOBA this season. O.co Coliseum is one of the most pitcher-friendly parks in the league. The A’s are sporting the third-worst wOBA at home this season.

I’m pretty intrigued by Robbie Ray tonight. Outside of Felix Hernandez, he’s the biggest favorite on the slate at -165. It’s certainly reasonable when you look at his opponent tonight, the San Diego Padres. The Padres have the second-worst offense in the league and are striking out at 25%, which is the third-highest rate in the league. That’s a pretty bad combination! Ray’s fantasy outputs have been volatile, but his 9.89 K/9 is fourth-highest on the slate, making him a reasonable option.
The Milwaukee Brewers are my favorite stack of the night. Recent struggles have pushed their prices down across the industry, but they are in for an excellent matchup tonight. They face John Lamb who has been beat up by everyone this season. He’s surrendered 16 hits and 11 runs in his last ten innings (two starts). His dismal 4.95 K/9 is rivaled only by his dismal 4.05 BB/9. The Brewers return to the friendly confines of Miller Park where they are the 8th best offense in the league.
