With the season in it’s final week, DFS is the most difficult it’s been all season. Trying to predict which stars will get rest or which young players will see extended run can be nearly impossible unless a head coach comes right out and tells us. With that being said, I will focus on players on teams that are still competing for something. We can expect their usual compliment of minutes.

Let’s start with the Celtics PG, Isaiah Thomas ($7,600). The Celtics and Hornets square off in a pivotal game for Eastern Conference seeding. The Celtics are the #4 seed at the moment and currently hold a one game lead over the Hornets. This game could literally determine which team has home court advantage in the playoffs. With that being said, Thomas is pouring in 24.3 real PPG over the last eleven. In fact, he’s only scored less than 20 real points in once game since March 2nd (19 total games). He’s performed well against Charlotte this season, averaging 41.4 DK PPG in their two meetings.

The Jazz are trying to fend off the Rockets for the #8 seed in the West, currently holding a one game lead. That creates ample opportunity for Rodney Hood ($5,200) who is back to logging big minutes for the Jazz. He’s playing 37.5 MPG over the last six contests and tallying 33.1 DK PPG in the process. Hood is a capable scorer (20.2 PPG in this span) who can get hot at a moment’s notice. He’s taking 15.5 shots per game which is three more than his season average. Expect the Jazz to rely heavily on their best players and Hood certainly qualifies in that category.

The Suns don’t have anything to play for, but their minutes have been predictable lately. Mirza Teletovic ($5,600) has been the beneficiary of 29.8 MPG over the last seven, despite not starting any of those games. That hasn’t stopped him from pouring in 34.7 DK PPG in the that stretch. Teletovic is launching 16.7 shots per game recently, which you will be hard pressed to find out of any player in this price range. A matchup with the worst defense in the league has me salivating.

Thomas Robinson left last night’s game with a knee injury and his status for tonight is questionable. If he doesn’t play, the Nets front-court could be extremely thin considering they’ve already shut down Thad Young, Brook Lopez and Willie Reed for the season. That could leave Chris McCullough ($3,300) to get all the minutes he can handle. McCullough has played 25 minutes a night in the last two and has been serviceable. He’s posted 27.75 and 23.75 DraftKings points. It’s no guarantee McCullough sees a boost as the Nets could elect to play a small lineup. Keep a close eye on the injury report out of Brooklyn, but we gain access to a near min-priced player who could log heavy minutes.

Remember how I just told you that the Brooklyn front-court is thin? Let’s look at who they are going to face tonight and that’s the Washington Wizards. The Wizards have been eliminated from playoff contention, but until I get official word otherwise, I am going to assume Marcin Gortat ($6,000) suits up for this game. Gortat has been extremely solid for the Wizards this season and has scored 30+ DK points in six of nine games. He faced this Nets team just five days ago and dropped a 16-12 line on them for 42 DraftKings points. Assuming he gets his usually 25-30 minutes, he can do plenty of damage against the injury-riddled Nets.
